Babies Are Born With An Innate Sense Of Who Is Attractive

Current thinking on why the definition of beauty is often consistent within a given population has to do with the idea that people are attracted to faces that represent the “average” of everyone they’ve seen. But there’s now research that suggests infants – who have only seen a handful of faces in their lives – intuitively prefer to the more attractive of two faces. You kid isn’t a total snob, however. All babies are instinctively attracted to their own mom’s face, regardless of what she looks like. Unfortunately, researchers can’t say the same for you.
