This Voice-Activated Night Light Will Keep Your Kid In Bed

It even has a dance party mode.

by Donna Freydkin

A great kids’ night light can make sleep training less of a nightmare for parents. And honestly, we’ll take all the help we can get. One of the more affordable, and easy to use, smart alarm clock and night light options out there is the new Echo Glow sleep training clock for kids. It also doubles as an OK to wake clock, because parents can schedule it to get brighter when it’s time for your kid to rise and shine.

As you might suspect, the Echo Glow is powered by Alexa. You pair it with any compatible Alexa device to change its color and brightness. And it has some pretty awesome features.

For example, in campfire mode, it’s like you’re sitting in front of a bonfire. Kids can also use the Glow to change lights for an Alexa-powered dance-off, when you put it into dance party mode.

But now, to the stuff parents care about. Sleep. The Echo Glow cycles through the colors of the rainbow, and gradually fades to black when it’s time to hit the sack.

Parents can create lighting cues that help with counting down to dinnertime or setting a reading time, so kids can wind up down when it’s time for bed. They choose what color they want the Glow to be. And there’s what’s called a rainbow timer, which gives kids a visual reminder that it’s time to wake up, time to do homework, or time to wrap things up.
