Fatherly seeks an Associate Visuals Editor to help ensure a consistent and aspirational aesthetic across all Fatherly content platforms. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative, hands-on visual expert who thrives in a creative and fast paced environment. Additionally, this person would be interested in bringing innovation to high-volume photographic workflows, capable of improving the quality of imagery and visual storytelling while creating production efficiencies and managing within a budget.

  • Lead visual storytelling for Fatherly editorial content, working closely with Fatherly’s editorial team
  • Develop infographics and microcontent for use by the editorial and social teams
  • Research and acquire photography from licensed sources as well from the public domain
  • Work with Audience Development team to test and optimize imagery
  • Act as first assistant on set and collaborate on photography and video projects as needed
  • Manage photography budget for editorial and branded content
  • Engage photographers for photo-driven Fatherly features


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in photography, design or related field
  • 3 + years related experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Well versed in copyright law and usage/licensing agreements
  • Ability to follow creative direction, adapt to changing priorities and critical deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Excel at collaborative process of creating imagery in a team environment
